NATO symposium on Meaningful Human Control in Information Warfare

Theme: Meaningful Human Control in Information Warfare

On October 21 and 22, The NATO S&T Collaboration Support Office and the Human Factors and Medicine (HFM) Panel is organizing the annual HFM NATO symposium; this year focusing on the topic “Meaningful Human Control in Information Warfare.” The symposium will have a special Dutch touch this year, as it will be held in Amsterdam at our “own” Marine Establishment Amsterdam. Several ELSA Lab Defence researchers will present their work here. We aim for a large, diverse, and engaged audience to foster lively discussions.

Registration for the symposium is now open. While there’s still time to sign up, we strongly recommend registering early to secure your spot and help us with event planning.

To register, please login with your STO events credentials or create an account if you do not already have an existing one. After log in, scroll down to the HFM event and you will see at the bottom of this page the button “Book now”, click on it to start to enroll.

Enrollments will be closed on Sunday 6 October 2024, please make sure you register on time. Please note that registration won’t be re-opened past this deadline.

The General Information Package (GIP) specifying the event logistics, accommodation, travelling, venue etc. will be visible and ready for download on this website after your registration has been validated by the CSO. After validation, return to this page, log in with your credentials and download the GIP located in the grey box below the Google maps picture or above the bar below entitled “GIP HFM-377 RSY Amsterdam“.
